To receive the Gift, one must be in the state of Sanctifying Grace. Consider praying an act of contrition before asking for the Gift. To receive the Gift, one must simply desire it. If you commit a venial sin, you will need to pray an act of contrition and ask again for the Gift. For mortal sin, you must go to confession first. The prevenient act is the prayer you say every day when you wake up to request that God’s Divine Will operate in you.

Simply cut out the prevenient act,
fold it in two, and you can keep it inside your missal or prayerbook.
The following is an excerpt of the prevenient act you can pray right now to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will:
I am nothing, God is Everything; Father, I love you! Come, Divine Will, to think in my mind, to flow in my blood, to look through my eyes, to listen in my ears, to speak in my voice, to breathe in my breathing, to beat in my heart, to move in my movements, to suffer in my suffering, and may my soul, consumed and fused with Your Will, be the living crucifix immolated for the Glory of the Father.
Once you have the gift of living in the Divine Will, you can pray the Rounds. The Rounds are prayers of love to the Creator, prayed in the Divine Will, which help fulfill God’s original intention for mankind. There are three Fiats: The Fiat of Creation, the Fiat of Redemption, and the Fiat of Sanctification. For the Fiat of Creation, you can pray “I love you” to God on every tree, every blade of grass, every mountain, every star, every planet, etc. For the Fiat of Redemption, you can put “I love yous” on Jesus’ public life and entire life. For the Fiat of Sanctification, you can put I love yous on the Church, on the Sacraments, on the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
